Parent Help & Frequently Asked Questions

Tap a question for a quick answer. The approved Handbook and current authorized team notices still apply. Band remains official.

How do I register my child?

Open the secure Player Registration form and complete one form per athlete. Already registered? Contact leadership before submitting again. Registration does not guarantee a roster spot; eligibility, available space, and final roster decisions remain with the Athletic Director and coaching staff.

Is basketball registration still open?

For the 2026–2027 basketball season only, new players may be considered through Saturday, October 24, 2026. Beginning October 25, rosters will be closed to new applicants for this basketball season. Registration does not guarantee placement. See the current basketball announcement. For future seasons or other sports, ask about upcoming opportunities.

Where can I find practices and games?

Open the practice and game calendar and check the specific event for its time and location. Band remains the official source for last-minute team communication; check it before leaving. Visiting a game? Use Game Day Information.

How much does participation cost?

The approved 2026–2027 fee is $200 per athlete: an initial $100 and a second $100 due January 15, 2027. The initial payment was due October 5; families registering afterward should confirm their payment arrangements with the Treasurer through leadership. Approved participation credits may reduce or satisfy the second payment. See Handbook 3.3, Section 7 and fee and credit guidance for the governing rules, including qualifying leadership credit and authorized arrangements.

How do I pay?

Use the existing official registration Zelle payment section for the bank-provided QR code, phone payment link, and registration tag. Include each athlete’s full name in the memo. The Treasurer verifies receipt before updating any balance; reporting or sending a payment does not automatically mark it paid. For other approved payment arrangements, contact leadership.

Can I volunteer instead of paying the full participation fee?

Approved, documented service can offset the second $100 payment; credit is not automatic. Approved volunteer time earns $10 per hour. Approved business outreach, fundraising, sponsorships, and qualifying leadership service follow their specific rules. Funds must actually be received where required. See Handbook Section 7 and Appendix A. Ask leadership to confirm an opportunity and the Treasurer to verify recorded credits.

Who is allowed to pick up my child after practice?

Pickup must follow your athlete’s current authorized guardian and transportation arrangements. Confirm any change with the coach or Athletic Director through the organization’s approved private process before pickup. Do not post custody, guardian, or pickup details in public comments or team chat. See Handbook Section 14; ask leadership about your family’s specific arrangement.

How much does it cost to attend a home game?

Ages 13 and older: $5 per person. Children younger than 13: Free. Family maximum: $20, with family defined for this cap as children, parents, and grandparents only.

Free admission for a Crusaders athlete’s immediate family: parents, siblings, and grandparents who live with that family. Other extended family and guests are not exempt, including grandparents who do not live with the athlete’s family. The applicable family maximum still applies as approved.

Read the full Board-approved fee schedule or home-game admission details. Ask the designated admissions supervisor about unusual arrangements or exceptions.

How do I contact the Crusaders?

General questions: ecitycrusaders@gmail.com. Routine team questions go to your coach; unresolved athletics questions go to the Athletic Director, then the Board. Payment, credit, and hardship questions go to the Treasurer/Board through leadership. Board matters: ecitycrusadersboard@gmail.com.

For ordinary playing-time or coaching concerns, wait 24 hours and speak privately with the coach. Safety concerns go promptly to Safety & Compliance/Board and are never delayed by the 24-hour rule; use emergency services when immediate danger requires it. See concerns and safety guidance. Participation fees and service

Handbook 3.3 sets the 2026–2027 participation fee at $200 per athlete: the first $100 per athlete was due October 5, 2026, or is due at registration when registering after that date, unless a written Board/Treasurer arrangement applies; the remaining $100 is due January 15, 2027, subject to approved Family Participation Credit. Ask the Treasurer through leadership to confirm your account, payment instructions, credits, and any deadline clarification.

Approved service is generally credited at $10 per hour. Qualifying fundraising, sponsorship, and leadership service follow the specific approved rules. Credits must be authorized and recorded; expressing volunteer interest creates no credit, cash value, refund entitlement, or athletic preference.

The Treasurer verifies payments before updating any balance. This website does not automatically mark a fee paid. Cash or check may also be arranged with leadership. For hardship or qualifying leadership credit, request a private review before paying an unverified balance.

Family Participation Credit

Approved volunteer service earns $10 per hour; ten approved hours offset $100 of the January 15 obligation. Every three documented businesses contacted through approved outreach for raffle donations or sponsorship opportunities equal one service hour. Approved fundraising and sponsorship dollars actually received by Crusaders and attributable to the family count dollar-for-dollar toward the household’s remaining January 15 obligation. Approved methods may be combined across participating athletes in the household.

Children of active Crusaders Directors, the Athletic Director, approved head coaches, and approved assistant coaches receive full participation credit for each otherwise eligible dependent child while the leader is actively serving in the qualifying role and remains in good standing, under Section 7.3 and Policy 3.3.1. This creates no roster or playing-time preference.

Credits have no cash value and create no refund or payment after the household obligation is satisfied. Crusaders maintains the official record; ask the Treasurer through leadership to reconcile payments and credits or report a discrepancy.
